I realized that I am more than a life insurance check yesterday.
God's plan, while not visible to me right now, is good! Living trumps death. I need to slow down, breathe, and believe. Occasionally, my focus gets clouded by the concerns of the world. When that happens, I need to follow the advice of so many saints, trust and believe.
Granted, that sounds trite and over used, but it is true. God has revealed that there are other options, better ways, and HOPE! Hope. A word that can give so much comfort and take so much away. I need to remember to put my hope in the Lord and not man.
Psalm 121:1-2 says I lift up my eyes to the mountains--
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and Earth.
When my hope is in the Helper, anything is possible. That doesn't mean there won't be hard times. That doesn't mean that the electricity won't get cut off one month or the mortgage won't be late. It means God has my back, he will be there in this moment and the next. He is my HOPE.
